I had a terrible week, not because I was wrong but because I blew my risk limits. I had initially decided to put the portfolio on hold for the next week or so because I did not have the bandwidth to actively manage the portfolio due to a pick up in my shorter-term trading.
As one would imagine I put on another gutsy short in SeaWorld. With my style of trading I generally like to be right or right out – my inattention to the portfolio caused me to miss my risk limits, as a result I took a whopping loss. The fund is now in the red after losing my profits in my $AMD short.
I intend to slowly become more active in the portfolio again. That being said my position sizes will be greatly reduced until I can get my equity above water.
